He does not really fit the iconic singer, and an up and down career. I think he has to do more.

his first two Albums were britpop by numbers
but Angels is a great song

Robbie has a great voice, admittedly not the best voice ever, and he is an all-round entertainer. 7 of his 8 solo albums have gone to number 1, and 1 went in at number 2. He has sold more albums than any other solo singer in UK chat history. He has the record for highest number of concert tickets sold in one day - 1.6 million. He was voted greatest act of the 1990's. He has won 15 BRIT awards, which is 7 more than Annie Lennox - who has the 2nd highest amount of awards.

Weather you personally like his music or not - he does deserve this award.
