Tracy Barlow's return in Coronation Street could spell trouble for Peter Barlow and Leanne Battersby's romance.

Tracy - played by Kate Ford - is set to return to Weatherfield once again this spring, following a spell in prison, where she was jailed for murdering ex-boyfriend Charlie Stubbs (Bill Ward).

Chris Gascoyne, who portrays her alcoholic stepbrother Peter, hinted to TV Times: "Whenever Kate is around, things go wrong - Tracy comes in with a huge wooden spoon and stirs everything up."

He added: "You know, Peter's just troubled, he's got demons but she's actually murdered someone."

Tracy has blackmailed Roy Cropper, broke up Steve McDonald's marriage with Karen and faked an abortion in the past.
