This whole forum seems to be built around a teenage mentality where popularity contests are all the rage. Ive given up fighting it.

I deliberately decided to stay detached because I dont wanna get sucked into that whole mentality. It can be quite addictive if you buy into it. I have my friends in real life and dont feel the need to look for them on internet forums. Nor do I need emotional support or constant compliments. Some here seem very needy. My presence here is purely for sh!ts and giggles. And to vent occasionally.

I did do the whole friends list and personal pictures stuff at another more adult forum. But here I wanna keep it more casual.

That's where the problem is. Some people take this forum way too seriously. TIBB isn't the real life.

exactly the same here, i have friends in my life, i see this forum as a nice bit of fun, dont want to get too involved and be worried about my popularity on this...i do think its nice people who do consider people true friends on here though, i just think that a consequence of that are the divisions that grow when people arent all friends
