No offense intended but how do you know all of this - have you been involved with heroin yourself?
No lol I've watched loads of docs about heroin, heroin addicts, really good, but really hard hitting sort of thing. I like to educate myself and not just think of them as 'Smack Heads'. And no, i've never done it lol

Ah right, I've tried to watch some of them but just couldn't. I've always had a phobia of needles and seeing people use them to inject themselves with harmful drugs as a lifestyle - I just couldn't stomach it.

I do feel for some users though who have got involved through falling in with wrong crowd etc. because they didn't choose that lifestyle. There needs to be more support for users in my opinion.

Indeed, once people hit rock bottom, it's hard to come back.

I can't imagine what's it like for them. There's probably hundreds out there right now living a seemingly normal lifestyle who are addicted to heroin.

Like I said, more support needs to be provided. A lot of drug users tend to be involved with crime and prostitution as well which is even more sad. The key to less crime although of course not entirely is to sort out Britain's ever growing drug problem.

But saying that at least we don't have the problem of prescription drugs addiction over here. In the States, it's always been a big thing. It still does happen here but to a much less extent.

People like to brush it under the carpet. A sub-culture they like to pretend does not exist. Full of prozzies, pimps ect. There are mant programmes that do help, but it also does have to work both ways, it's gotta depend on how much they really want it and really strong willed they are. Because most likely, they will have been pretty vunerable to get hooked in the first place.

That is so true. It's so sad how even though people want help they can't do anything about it because they need the drugs.
