Default Ashlene a Jehovah\'s Witness?

She's just been saying she doesn't believe that Jesus died on a cross... rather he was put to death on an upright stake. The JWs are the only religion I know of that teach that.

Rebellious ex-Jehovah's Witness? What do you think?

I'd be shocked if she is one of Jehovah's Witnesses. They normally don't smoke, swear, and flaunt their bodies...

For the record Ashlyne's mother was a Jehovah's witness, and JW teaching is that Jesus died on an upright stake. As far as I know Ashlyne did not subscribe to being a JW but as her mother did, she was cruel to her somehow and so Ashlyne escaped to live with her father who is not a JW and if you recall the letters from home it was he who sent it. It is possible that she still has bought in to some JW doctrine without realising it.

The bit about Jesus dying on a stake does have a response, but I would have to dig it out. If anyone wants to study this further I reccomend you look for the Reachout Trust website on Google. They run a ministry to those in cults or the occult or relatives of those so caught up.

Kore, I do not hate JW's, I do however intensely dispise the organisation based in Chicago IIRC, the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society that has lied to it's own members and caused needless deaths and hurt amonst them. The best anti-JW literature actually comes from old JW publications where you can see the lies perpertrated by this organisation. I have seen examples of it, and again you can get more information from Reachout Trust

The average JW that comes to your door, will not know any of this and has been deceived by their own organisation. They are knocking at your door because they have been ordered to and have to fill in time sheets.

Jasper Carrot once joked that the best way to throw a JW is to welcome them in to your home, and he was right, as they are brainwashed into expecting rejection and are told that they are helping sift out the wheat from the chaff. It is not too strong to say that the JW who comes to your door has been brainwashed or programmed, again Reachout Trust will have more information on this.

As for evolution, I believe there was a thread about that so i won't discuss that here
