Ben is the one who tries too hard to seem posh; always going on about his friends and parties.

Also Ben probably resents the fact that he went to uni,is 30+ and still nowhere with his 'media career' apart from reality TV,whereas Shabby is 20+ and already has acted in actual films and tv shows.

'Articulate' is not a word I would use to describe Shabby. She actually has very poor language skills with a poor understanding of semantics and is prone to using words in the wrong context.
