I cant speak for the OP - perhaps you should have quoted them and not me - but my interpretation was that firstly, she has feeling for a girl that is not gay and thus unattainable and secondly, that she has not known her long enough for her feeling to be genuine.

I respect your opinion. But you can't possibly know that. Only Shabby will know if her feeling is genuine and why is it stupid for her to like a girl who isn't gay? It's not something you choose as pointed out. Unrequited love is fairly common.

Its absurd for her to fall for a straight girl if she's at all pragmatic. We know now that she isn't, but hey.
