I suspect Andrew may be using it a bit to up his profile now. Playing the spurned admirer. But its his own fault if he's taking it seriously. To Josie its a running joke they have going between them. Nothing more.

And Andrew did see the show for weeks prior so he really shouldnt be thinking he can get in there with her. Seriously, dude!
