It's quite a shallow argument to expect a Christian (or whatever he is) to be saintly 100% of the time isn't it? He's just a normal bloke with a very checkered past sticking as best as he can to some lifestyle guidelines set out in a best selling book. And despite him coming across to people like you and I as a complete whack-job because we don't subscribe to the doctrine, he actually seems to be prospering spiritually and intellectually because of it.

Yes, you're right. I do accept your point. I simply feel that as he professes to be in there to spread the word and claims to love everyone, last night he made a snap judgement on Jo. He does backbite a lot, ridicules his friends and has double standards concerning nudity. I give him due credit for pulling himself out of a hole he may have been in previously but I think Dave is being a hypocrite

These "same" people who go on and on and on about hating people, have low self esteem issues, so they're constantly trying denigrate others to make themselves feel better. And for the record I don't HATE anyone in that house, there are a lot that I DISLIKE, but that's not the same thing.

Did my post 2 above not help? What he does in the house could be seen as conflicting with his religious morals outside of the house - but only if you were to condemn him to sticking to them 100%. Many don't see him as being hypocritical because they can see that it's only a game show and not real life. Sadly some aren't able to make that distinction.

no I dont come from Stoney, I live just outside glasgow

the nudity bitty to me was not hypocritical.( someone explained Dave's position on it in one of the other regular anti-dave hate threads that pop up too often either yesterday or the day before)
altho again it might have been cos I like dave and really disliked caoimhe. So because of that I saw hers as being a bit of titillation, as did many of the inmates not just dave, to get some male attention whereas dave's was BB setting him up cos they had been told bathroom bits would not be shown(they were all talking about that opening night). Just like when he was showing his fake tan , that was in no way sexual so not the same , in my book, as ciaomhe's was

i agree ,he is a MASSIVE hypocrite and all the "I love you man" is all to save nominations ,thinking no one would nomiante a man who loves them ,very crafty

I actually believe that he does love them in a christian sense. It would freak me right out if I had to hear it 24/7 tbh, which is probably he's one of the most nominated HMs this series. In fact as tactics go that would be one of the most transparent ones - hardly crafty.

has dave had many noms since week 3

most of the inmates get him now and have good fun with him most of the time that i see

You make a good point too. But in order for Dave to succeed in the game he will have to employ tactics which do not reflect his lifestyle outside the house. If you were to take these game tactics too seriously then it may well been seen hypocritical. For example pointing out that JJ (original) contributes nothing to the house doesn't mean that he "loves" him any less it just means that in the context of the game or the running house in general that he would missed less and therefore worthy of a vote or two. It would be sly if he went from person to person secretly pointing out the deficiencies in the competition but Dave is open about his views (sometimes brutally so) and broadcasts his opinions to the group.
I must point out that Dave is not my favourite, I just find him a decent enough bloke (barring some respect issues).
