Its scarey some of the replies on an emerge wales page..replies from fellow..'members of whatever type religion/cult/etc it is..people saying Dave may not be welcomed back.. people saying how nice a bloke Dave is and how he is 'rising up the ranks' ...people accusing Dave of being part of a satanic cult.. allsorts...

I find it very hard to understand anyone that would follow such a thing ...and not run a mile at the first sign of the 'drunk on the lord' antics...

I really really want Dave to leave the BB house sooner rather than later & I shall await the news reports of his 'cult being critacised' then I want it all to vanish into oblivion...

Just like Jehovas that always knock my door in teams of 3.. one to get foot in my door.. one to pass me a leaflet and one to talk jibberish whilst I make my apologies/excuses and promptly close the door...

He is so good at manipulating people, just look at him tonight, he mirrors peoples body language and facial expressions, and repeats back what is said to him, albeit worded slightly differently.
These are typical brainwashing(well hypnosis anyway) techniques. The man has skills Darren Brown would envy.
Laughter is infectious, just look at Steve and Rachel a few weeks ago. It also releases small amounts of endorphins into your system(which give you a nice tinglingly feeling). Now if your a vulnerable ex-druggie or alcoholic, and your sitting across from someone who is telling you that the tinglingly feeling is god() entering your body, 9 out of 10 times our hypothetical ex-druggie or alcoholic, is going to buy it, and as they already have an addictive personality, they are going to want more more more.

Well some people are going to say, so what he's making them feel better and whats wrong with that.

Nothing....untill he starts asking for large donations, and trys to replace your family with gods() family, i.e. god is your father, mary is your mother, the priests are brothers and nuns are sisters. (also a recognized brainwashing technique, used a lot by various religions and military establishments).


Give it ten years and he will have amassed a large following and will have convinced alot of people to give up there life savings sell there houses and donate the proceeds to this cult/religion, so they can purchase some land far far away from all of us "Haters". People will think he is a prophet (I mean ffs people already think he can predict whats going to happen next in the house).
His ego will be hugely inflated........next thing you know, here comes the kool-aid.

scarey stuff eh...I will never understand how people get sucked in.. but agree that when your down as far as life will take you if someone comes along and offers you a better place you will grab at it with both hands...

Slightly off topic now but still relevant. There is a Scientology center close to where i live in Dublin. I went in with a mate just purely out of curiosity....they wouldn't talk to us unless we first gave them 600euro to enter their "first level of enlightenment".
Second level cost 2,000, 3rd costs 10,000. It was at this point when i burst out laughing and was asked to leave
