It wouldn't surprise me, at all, if she simply gets paid for letting them use her name and they have "proper" columnists writing them.

Nikki is almost certainly freelance, i.e. self-employed. Not an employee.

So she can do as much or as little work as she wants and take holidays whenever she wants.... obviously provided she's earning sufficient to finance her lifestyle, when she is actually working.

Maybe she still continues with her columns while she is away in other countries. Take an hour or so out of her day to write these.

That must be a great position to be in. Do feck all for much of the day. Have around six-ten holidays per year and get others to do the work for you. And get paid as if you're doing it yourself.
