That's why to gain access you'd have to be generally active, been here for a certain amount of time and have a certain amount of posts. You only don't like the idea because you're too young - you're being bias.

I even said myself that an 18+ forum would be good and I'm 17.

Sorry but the idea that you can restrict certain age groups from any area of this site or any other site for that matter is a bit naive. Not without some kind of credit card only access you can't. Of course, you can disallow certain members from posting but theyll still be able to see everything so what are they being protected from?

I personally don't see the point in splitting the forum. In my view, it's down to the parents to make sure kids don't read unsuitable stuff online, and since most of the kids on this site seem to have no restrictions on their computers, they'll see a hell of a lot worse than some bad language and innuendo on here.

So I say what I want, where I want. I'm not responsible for the kids who read it. I'm only responsible for my kids, and they aren't members here.

As long as I'm not breaking forum rules, I don't see a problem.

To the people who want an 18+ area : What kind of things do you want to discuss/post in there that you feel you couldn't post anywhere else?

The only reason Id want that is to get away with more adult humour or comments. As it stands you sometimes get away with them and sometimes don't. Very random depending on which mods are on and what mood theyre in.

No they won't be able to see everything. A group will be made specifically for those who want access, those who aren't in the group won't be able to see that section at all.

It'd be a place for more hardcore debates/arguments, a bit of privacy, more adult conversations, maybe bitching, a place to vent and other stuff.

When you say 'adult conversations', I assume you don't mean porn, so why don't you just talk to the adults in existing threads?
