I completely agree with you OP.. Simon, to me has always been the speaker of sense, and I've always said, whether people like it or not, his opinion is usually bang on. But he is getting repetitive with his comments and I just CANNOT believe he told Cher that not only did she do the best performance of the night, but of "the whole season"??!! WTF? I don't think so Simon!
I actually don'tknow what he's playing at where Cher's concerned. I suspect after all the bad publicity regarding her mental health during Bootcamp etc, he did'nt want a Susan Boyle type breakdown again, plus the media circus to go along with it.. I think he's just trying to keep her sweet. (Probably Cheryl aswell)

I'm not sure $imon has to do anything keep Cheryl sweet.. she's in luvvv and has him right in her sights already IMO.. I reckon he is trying to keep her sweet with CHERyl junior though... It's like one big happy CHERyl family already
