It was an absolutely stunning flat coated retriever - I totally fell in love with it. At least it looked like a 'proper dog'.

That's exactly the point I was trying to make, though. The poodle was a fantastic dog with a lovely face, but the way it was clipped left the poor soul looking absolutely ridiculous.

What idiot decided that poodles should be clipped like that and not retrievers? Whoever it was should have their own hair clipped like that, and see how they like it!!
