I think the simple fact that you could run without having to hold in a button [1997 RPG, anyone?] made it miles better than GTA IV. GTA IV was where Rockstar forgot what got them to the dance. Saints Row was a throwback game. You could fight wave after wave of enemies who all looked the exact same, but that's the strange quality I want in my games. Realism blows.

Yep exactly, I became quite disillusioned with GTA after that, I'm firmly in the Saints Row camp now, cant wait for their third game
