Dancing On Ice star Sam Attwater apologised last night after pretending to date his dance partner Brianne Delcourt.

Pretending to date someone is a pretty embarrassing thing to have to admit but sorry Sam was forced to after ITV bosses put their foot down on another faking scandal.

Ex-EastEnders actor Sam cashed in on their imaginary "relationship" by giving a series of intimate interviews.

However, at the weekend he was pictured kissing another of the show's professionals, Alexandra Schauman - wed to show skater Lucasz Rozycki.

Dancing On Ice producers had to scrap a Valentine's Day segment on last night's show which had film of Sam and Brianne flirting and it's reported that ITV bosses fear viewers will blame the channel for making up the romance.

After apologising to ITV Sam said of Brianne: "We were together. We're not now."

ITV is developing somewhat of a reputation for fixes after coming under fire for fixing its GMTV quiz, the British Comedy Awards and reality shows.

Last night, Brianne still posed as Sam's "bride" and danced in a wedding dress and veil. TV host Phillip Schofield joked their routine was "nearly as complicated as your love life!"

This is the second "fix" Dancing On Ice has been blasted for this week, following on from the judges keeping Kerry Katona on the show.
