An old friend of mine who works at a very senior level in Australian television (and is currently in London for pre-Olympic planning meetings) assures me that the Channel 10 gig is a very exciting thing for Ben and it will probably lead to more work ...

He also (and he is originally from Melbourne himself and has checked him out) assures me that there is LESS than NO interest in John James Parton and that the chances of him ever getting a gig on Australian television are lower than a snake's belly ...

Naughty of me to repeat this ... but I do love a bit of a gossip ...

I guarantee that if John James was getting as much attention in Australia as he is here, we wouldn't see him for dust! Sadly the Aussies seem to be far more discerning about who they elevate to celebrity status than the Brits

As for Ben, it's great that his career is taking off. I love that he doesn't turn up to the opening of an envelope, like the rest of the BB desperadoes, and is actually concentrating on furthering his broadcasting and presenting projects.
