Maybe she was born and brought up in another part of the country, and only recently moved there?
I used to get annoyed when people referred to Elizabeth in BB2 as Scottish because she stayed in Edinburgh - actually she was brought up in Cumbria, so that was the accent she had. Perhaps it's the same with Nush?
