Point is, he doesn't need to do anymore as he did more than any other artist and has an awesome back catalogue. He will never reach those musical heights again anyways. Artists are of their time.

I have a weird urge to listen to Absolute beginners now(yes, I know its not one of his classics but I have a fondness for it!).

But I do agree with this. I'm happy for him to end on a high rather than continue performing as a tired old mess. *cough Mick, cough Paul*
