Given that for most nights of the week the other major channels run their big offerings for the night at 9. So if its a film a lot of people try to watch the start and may change for a different channel at 10 if they arent deeply into the movie itself by then.

Documentaries etc tend to fit the hour long slot so again a change at 10.

The ratings show that its not working in such a late slot.

Maybe the ratings have nothing to do with the time slot and alot more to do with editing style, I know thats why my sister has stopped watching.

I think you have a point there, i feel if people really wanted to watch it, they would, no matter what time it's on, i think the editing is got a lot to do with.
