Lets not forget within a few hours of Gem entering, he was putting 2 fingers up to the family way by encouraging Faye to defy her big sis and Smoke.

Hardly a bloke on his best behavior and wanting to impress.

I personally wouldn't go with a smoker, however he was only encouraging his closest confidant in the house to enjoy her liberty of freedom, Faye was obviously smoking before she went into the house, you don't just start for no reason, Jem went in there with an agenda to no give the guy a chance, anyway it's not a normal situation, when you meet the other halves family you're generally on your best behaviour and it only lasts a few hours, not trapped with them 24/7 in what's basically a game of mental endurance, Jem treats Faye like shes 12

I think they are seeing things differently to me. Thats all. I have yet to see this terrible mistreatment. If anything, it seems to be Faye messing Aaron around, more than the other way round.

I dunno...maybe because shes a girl she gets more sympathy from certain people when she cries about the relationship, whilst the same people who see Aaron being upset over it think its just part of his gameplan? Maybe the families are under the impression that the VTs show the real person so see everything Aaron does as manipulation...when I think that the person they are in the house is more likely to be real...

A lot of maybes and ifs. Because noone can possibly know how anyone comes to the opinion they do

Well she's 19, i just think Gem had a right to tell her sister to not smoke. I don't think she did smoke before going into the house, as Faye said the smoking was going to stop after BB.

The point for me is don't try and get in the way of family, not in a "krey twins" way but, in that Gem knows better than Aaron what is right for Faye, even if it seems bossy, for me to override Gem in that situation i'd feel like a cheeky so and so.

Thanks for answering with more substance. I'd be interested to learn why you thing Faye messes Aaron around though??? IMO he is 30 years old, manipulative, self centred with has many quirks and hang ups - and I think she is just an insecure 19 year old who and reacts spontaneously to his weirdness. But you think she messes him around? I really don't get it.
