Suspect package delays Big Brother show
The live Big Brother eviction show has been delayed after a suspect package was discovered on the Elstree complex where the house is located.
A Channel 4 spokesman said the incident was being dealt with and they hoped to continue with the show at 10pm.
Hertfordshire Police later said the housemates had also been evacuated to a secure location on the Elstree site.
A spokesman said a bomb disposal team were on their way to the site after security guards with dogs made checks around the film studios ahead of the programme.
"The search indicated that there may be explosive material in some boxes and as a precaution a 100-metre cordon was imposed," he said.
