Hello *waves*
Basically, i've been making movies with windows move maker and saving it etc, all plays fine using windows movie maker. But, i tried uploading it to YouTube and apparently the file format isn't valid. Soo, can anybody help me with either; A, how do i save it to another file format? I tried clicking save project as and saving it again but only that one format came up. B, how am i able to change the format from a different place? C, any other way i can get my movie's onto YouTube without the file being invalid? I'm sure loads of people make them on Movie Maker and get them onto YouTube, could you help please..? Chars. |

Go to Save Movie File instead of Save Project As.
You should be able to save in WMV format then. |

More help..
How do you get YouTube video's onto this forum and others? The actual video and not just the link... ? It is possible on this one because i've saw Lance post one during BB7 and it is possible on Invision too but i just don't know how. Help please.. ? |

Check the FAQs here for BB code and look up [ flash ] So you can do this [flash=425x350]http://www.youtube.com/v/yYgEwXWilUc[/flash] The code for the URL comes from the embed box and is in the src= part of that line I copied and pasted from the embed box this <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/yYgEwXWilUc"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/yYgEwXWilUc" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> and moved the appropriate URL to the [ flash] BB code (Click Quote to see how I did this) |

Right, i've just used that above post as a test post and it's worked yeah. But i posted exactly the same thing on another forum, an inivisionfree one and it didn't work. Is there something different you have to do for the InivsionFree forums? |

I can not speak for other forums, they may not support the [ flash ] BB code or have some restrictions inorder to reduce bandwidth.
Maybe a mod can tell us if embedding a YouTube video in the anner described does eat up bandwidth here. |

No, it doesn't use any additional bandwidth here.
The HTML 'embed' code won't work here but you can use flash BBCode like this... [flash=320x240]http://www.youtube.com/v/HmJFMfadfhw[/flash] |
