There are LOTS of cities in Africa that do have their own clean running water and modern indoor plumbing systems, so let's not paint all of Africa with the same brush.

There are PLENTY of places in China that also do not have access to clean running water and indoor plumbing, but we all talk about China as if it's so rich and modern and the rising superpower.

Colonialism left some places with a reasonable infra structure even if they left them in a political mess.
