I thought Peter was great last night but he reminded me a lot of Ainslie from last year.

I think they were right to take Audley through as well - I loved his singing!

Looks like there could be a lot more boys in the house than girls this year though.

I think Stu, you'll find that fame Academy is MUCH more along your street.

I'm looking forward to it this year. I am changing from ntl to SKY to get proper interactive TV next week.

Splodge, I'm relying on you to tell me how it's done!

My thoughts exactly, kaph . . . . in fact I thought he was a mixture of Jarvis Cocker, Liam Gallagher and Ainslie - quite a volatile cocktail!

I'm not sure if this will work in his favour or not - people are bound to make comparisons between the two. I know that Ainslie's 'quirky' antics tended to get on my nerves a bit last year (sorry Ainslie fans ) - time will tell whether Peter does or not.

In my view Audley was the best singer last night, and I was delighted that he won the student vote. All in all, the boys were far better than the girls and all three deserved to get into the Academy.

I can't wait for it to get going properly. It seems ages until we get them in there. I think there could be more tantrums and tears this year because the students are going to be so much more confined. The two days they got at Shepperton gave them a chance to talk to each other privately and to meet other people, without that the pressure is going to be enormous. I think it will be a much tougher test of character.

I agree - I liked Simone especially and was surprised she didn't go through on the public vote.

It seems as if it's odds-on for a man to win FA again this year. I have nothing against this, but it seems much harder for the girls to suceed in this show and in Pop Idol. Is that mainly due to the voting public being female?

Im glad that Simone got through but I was even more glad that Barry got through
Like David said he has a good voice but needs to find himself
I knew Paris would go through
Unless all 3 girls win next week there will be only 3 girls in so far

SO true. The media are never happy. Wannabes are slagged off as a waste of air-time, and then moan about unsung real talent because they have a dedication to DO something before entering FA.

Well what did you think of this weeks
I thought Richard Park coming back was good and that the performances were ok.
I think it could be Ladies night tonight with Janee(I think) and Alex going through and between Terance and Lorna for the student vote

I thought the public made the right decision tonight in voting Nick and Alex into the Academy.

However, I was surprised that Jeney (?sp.) was one of the two with the fewest votes - I suspect the public took Patrick's plea to vote for Terrence out of sympathy to heart (fools . . . . . he was awful!).

No small wonder that Lorna won the student vote 12-0!

And now Fame Academy 2 has gone interactive! Just press your little red button.

I thought Alex and Nick deserved to get through.
IMO Alex's performance was terric - hope she can blossom and not get downtrodden in the Academy.
Nick should be a fiesty pupil!!

Audley was one of the people I thought would be in the bottom three tonight, although I thought Peter and Simone would be joining him.

Alex was fantastic - even after a false start when her microphone didn't work!), and I also thought Alistair, Lorna, Carolynne, Paris and James were excellent tonight.

Overall, I think the standard of performance from the students is much higher than it was last year.

I didn't see the voting. Who did the student keep in and who did the teachers keep in? I was surprised Audley got the chop from the Academy.

Thought some of the students weren't as impressive as in the earlier rounds.

I wonder if they kept Louise because she guarantees the show more press publicity.
