I have several points.
1. It is the parents fault for not intervening when the cat first bit the kid
2. The kid shouldn't have hit the cat

You can hardly blame a cat or a child for acting in self defense but you can blame the woman FILMING it for not intervening. You're not supposed to let cats and babies mix anyway, are you not?! Just such stupid parenting. The child was being bitten! The cat got punched! Why is she not doing anything!?

I think that normally it's good for a parent to let the kid learn that if they hurt an animal, it's going to hurt them back. But in this case it's bad parenting
