Altar Ego

Every FPS developer in the world went back to the drawing board the day Halo came out. It invented dozens of conventions we now take for granted in shooter games. I would put GTA III as equal in influence though. It changed everything and is easily still the biggest thing to happen to video games since Sony made the original PlayStation. The Wii and the opening up of a casual gamer market is probably up along with it but apples and oranges.
So I'm a fence sitter. GTA is not overrated but Patrick's myopic approach to video gaming is lame. He hasn't played as many games as he would like everyone to believe and probably has a hard time rating or wrapping his head around anything that is not a Rockstar product. Kind of like a child with some kind of ... thing. Last edited by Stu; 10-05-2012 at 06:18 PM. |

I was spoiled by Phoenix Wright I think, each case in those games are so absorbing and all the characters are interesting. I think I expected LA Noire to be like it but I ended up disappointed.
