1. Nick cheating. He wasn't at all popular. The other housemates were appalled at his dead wife stories. If he hadn't gone round with a pencil and paper he would have been nominated by most of them and voted out by the public, who had no reason to keep him in. He would not have got 1% of the press attention, no tv series, nothing very much.

2. Emma abusing/ spitting at (alleg.) Victor. I don't think she would have lasted much longer. A few people seem to have fond memories of her, but she seemed charmlessly dim to me, and loud without being funny. Michelle came over FAR better in the bedsit imo.

3. Makosi pretending to be pregnant. I still don't think she would have won. She was a clever, attractive housemate, a good sport and a real character, but she was also seen, with good cause, as a bitch; and those perceived as a bitch never win. (Just look at the way the harmlessly minxy Emilia was beaten by dull 'nice guy' John). I feel pretty sure Anthony would still have beaten her.

4. Emily using a forbidden word. She really wasn't that popular, other than among those who think being sexy is the most important thing. She boasted about the 'new' kind of music she and her friends liked called 'Indie music', said she was proud to be a Tory, described herself as intelligent and as hating thick people, boasted about how many thousands of pounds she had spent to get nice teeth, generally seemed rather arrogant and up herself. BB8 was a strange series in that it is hard to plot any kind of hmmmm, plot (good sentence here) but it is impossible to imagine Emily beating the twins or Brian.

5. Alexandra threatening to have peoples' families killed It was literally impossible for her to get any more unpopular. Worst VT EVER (against hot competition) made her sound like a scarily intolerant little madam, and she never changed this picture for an instant, picking violently pointless fights with Bex and with Mo, and being so sour about the wedding task that people treated her right guess with fastidious distaste.

6. Dennis spitting. Camply bitchy, he never looked like a stayer. It was a BIT funny watching how much he loved giving people electric shocks, but that's not the kind of behaviour that wins you the love of the public unless your names are Sam and Pepper.

7. Freddie losing it with Lisa. In terms of after effects, perhaps the biggest blot ever. He seemed such a certain winner, of Aaron-like proportions. Anyone who laid a finger on him (a verbal finger) was doomed to hell on here. Looking back, it is obvious that the weeks of being so unpopular in the house had far more of an effect on him than he showed. He was seething with resentment, and when he suddenly found himself with some power and influence he seemed to go temporarily mad; not only in the rant at Lisa, but with the boast that 'his team' would take the kitchen and make it really uncomfortable for anyone else to go in, and in the week of obsessive, maddening harping on gameplays and strategies. Afterwards he seemed to be all right again, but I have always thought he threw away an extremely strong chance of getting the prize money that week.

8. Mark leaving Of all the people who left, surely the biggest mistake. I think he was a lot more emotional than people credited: on BBOTS he seemed totally wired, babbling and jumping about like someone who has taken a bucketful of neat amphetamine sulphate. He talked virtual gibberish (quite unlike the calm, sensible person we often heard in the house) and would do almost anything to avoid discussing the actual house. Weeks later he was on record as saying sadly, "I shouldn't have walked, should I?" If he had coped with the storms in the house I think it would have been far better for everyone - less divided, less sulky, more fun.

If she hadn't have gone on I don't think she would havebeen as famous as she became after and leading upto her death. She probably would have been up for evictio and got evicted and probably disappeared into obscurity
