I´m not sure, if i would use the term favourite to describe the survivors on their tribe. Most of them were on my least favourite list (who i especially) and i gather/think/presume IMO that not many of them were liked by most of the fans of the show.

Corinne i think was vastly loathed (she was very mean, bitchy and horrible to some survivors), Philipp was kind of un-liked (too looney and delirious man), Brenda was somewhat un-liked (ruthless strategic), Cochran wasn´t liked (because of the betrayal), Brandon was unliked (because of acting crazy and being insanely paranoid) and Francesca, who was unlikable in the first episode/didn´t make a good impression ergo fans did not like her.

But they were however entertaining albeit un-likable bunch, so maybe they were "favoured and liked by the producers ie: Producers favourites" and thus enabling them to call them "Favourites", even if most fans detested them.

Only Malcolm, Dawn and maybe Erik i understand, as i think Malcolm was perceived as a clear favorite IMO, Dawn was kind of a motherly figure in her season and Erik, although he made a stupid mistake, he was kind and a lovable guy. Out of those i like .

So i´m kind of on the Fans and Malcolm/Phillip side on this Season. Maybe even Brenda, if she gets rid of Brandon early, betrays Corinne at some point and maybe makes alliance with Malcolm/Philipp.

Favourites was just a marketing term, not IMO something to get to wound up about personally.

What is worth getting wound up about though is that from the looks of the press previews and advertisements the fans are going to get a real shaft editing wise, there has been almost ZERO focus on any of them.

- The "cool kids table" alliance can **** off
- The Matt/Michael alliance though
- Brandon/Erik alliance
- Francesca being a neurotic mess
- Cochran and Dawn realigning
- Andrea of all people being the HBIC
- Cochrans ridiculous sunburn
- Random 20 second clip of one clawed crabs signalling each other [idk why I lolled so hard]
- After that episode I feel like I only don't know Sherri and Julia. Pretty decent editing in general.
- The Phillip focus though </3
- The absolute tragic story of Francesca Hogi </3
