Default Being caught singing

Last Sunday I was in work by myself and it was a quiet shift so I started playing music on my iPod and started singing along. There I was, harmonising gloriously, when one of the managers pops his head around the door.

Then, tonight, he comes up to the office and says "no singing tonight?" and then TELLS THE REST OF THE OFFICE ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED. IS NOTHING SACRED? I THOUGHT IT WAS OUR SECRET! I'm a cross between mortified and in hysterical laughter, waaaaahhh whhyyyyyyy?!

I don't know what it is that's so embarrassing about someone walking in on you singing?!

I'm always singing a tune, most of the time a mate says 'what is that?' at which point I just shut up and go red lol

Similar thing happened to me Greg. I am well known for my singing in the office but we recently rented a spare office out to a separate company.... There I was making a brew one morning belting out Nothing Compares 2 You (it had been on the radio as I went into the kitchen) and my colleague shouted up the stairs for me to come out and there in hysterical laughter is the new guy recording me on his iPhone. Mortified to say the least.

OMG, it actually happened this week now you mention it

I was walking down the corridor to go home at college and it was like deserted and I was doing some dance moves and going 'I DON'T CARE I LOVE IT' then the librarian just walked around the corner and smiled at me hehehe.

I sing all the time, but I can actually carry a tune so it's not as bad

Always, but I'm honestly beyond caring now. The problem is if I don't sing something that's in my head I start moving my head to the rhythm a la Stevie Wonder, which is probably worse.

People are often tearful when they catch me singing, it usually turns out to be the highlight of their pitiful insignificant lives.

I don't really care tbh, I'm not an awful singer and everybody does it, it was just so unexpected, I thought I was in by myself and he had no idea I was in the office either
