Seems that Ant & Dec and Will Young will be releasing their new singles on the same day - see article in today's Sun online (click here for the link).

Everyone is going to want to have a copy of the England World Cup song ........

Errrrr .............. MAYBE in England, but I can't see it selling more than a dozen copies in Scotland, Wales or Ireland!

Seriously, I think Will's onto a winner with 'Light my Fire' - it's soooooo sexy!

P.S There's also a little mention of Bubble & Dean's World Cup song in the article too - good luck, guys!

Kaz, I would like to think you were right, but I seem to recall 3 Lions getting into the Top 10 in the Scottish Charts! I was mortified, but I suspect there are enough English people living in Scotland, or at least in the chart influencing shopping areas of Scotland to exert an influence. It's probably even more tempting to buy an England football song when you are residing in 'foreign' parts.

I still doubt they'll beat Will. He might not have the World Cup to help him, but he's doing the Golden Jubilee, which attracts loads of attention that week, and don't forget it's the PI concert this Saturday featuring Light My Fire and flames and everything!


BTW. Nicki Chapman was on This Morning yesterday promoting the dreadful (yet catchy) S Club Juniors and said Will shot his video the previous day and had had a lovely holiday and was taking his time making the album.

I think Will will get to No1 with light my fire. But Ant and Dec are pretty popular and it will be tight. Im cheering for Will though because Nothing can beat 3 lions and Light my fire is soooooooooooooooo Kool

And anyway Go Dean and Bubble they should be England song but it might be more popular than Ant and dec like 1998 with that 1 with spice girls was main 1 4 world cup and 3 lions was more popular so there is hope

The gorgeous Will is definitely going to get to number one with that fabulous song "Light My Fire"

The only thing I'm worried about is if they decide to bring out pretty boy Gareth's second single 2 weeks later like they did first time round!
