Big Brother star Nikki was brave Lisa’s very own ray of sunshine

A BRAVE youngster’s dream came true last week when she met her favourite TV personality.
Lisa Blair, from Westwood, spent a whole day in Edinburgh with Nikki who was one of the stars from last year’s series of Channel 4 reality show, Big Brother.
The 11-year-old who suffers from cystic fibrosis had her wish granted by a special children’s charity.
Rays of Sunshine helps makes the dreams of terminally and seriously ill children come true.
Lisa’s mum, Karen, wrote to the charity about her daughter’s battle with the hereditary disease..
She told Rays of Sunshine: “Lisa has recently spent a lot of time in Yorkhill Hospital getting treatment for her cystic fibrosis.
“She has coped very well with this and rarely complains.
“Lisa is very much a girlie girl and it would mean so much to her if she could have a special day which would take her mind of all her treatment she has been through recently.”
And last week Lisa’s dream came true when, along with her mum and dad, she was collected from home by limousine and whisked off to Edinburgh.
And there, an overjoyed Lisa was met by her favourite TV star, Nikki.
The pair had lunch together before Nikki helped Lisa choose some new outfits.
She then took the East Kilbride youngster her to have her make-up done professionally.
After some more shopping it was off to the Hard Rock café for dinner and from there to the Edinburgh Playhouse theatre to see the show, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
Speaking of their magical day, Lisa’s mum Karen told the News: “It was great, just really good from start to finish.
“Lisa enjoyed every minute as it was everything she had hoped and more. Rays of Sunshine were so kind and couldn’t have done more to make the day special.
“You should see all the things she came home with!”
She added: “Nikki was lovely and acted just as she did when she was on TV, she certainly wasn’t putting on an act in the Big Brother house, she is hilarious.”
Lisa added: “I can’t choose my favourite part of the day, I enjoyed all of it.”
A spokesperson for the charity said: “Despite her ill health, and frequent hospital visits, Lisa tries to live life to the full.
“Rays of Sunshine are delighted that they were able to make Lisa’s wish of meeting Nikki Grahame from Big Brother come true”.
