Dexter sucks up to Jackie and she falls for it, simple as that. His heartfelt and emotional declaration of love for Charlie was about as sincere as a politician's apology. He sees Charlie as a potential OK magazine cash-in and nothing more, he made his tactics clear in the second week when he was advising everyone on how best to make money from the show. I don't get the love for him.
