I'd rather be hot than cold. I lived in a flat with poor insulation for a year and I can tell you that the winter months (so about 6 months from October - March) were the most awful months of my life in terms of my living situation; I had to sleep between a duvet, a blanket and a hot water bottle at my feet, sometimes with a jumper on too and I would STILL shiver throughout the night. I could see my breath and the curtains swayed in the wind.
At the moment I'm at home in a very tiny room that's a total suntrap and I get to sleep by having a fan on all night. It's much easier to cool down than it is to warm up, trust me. |

I would have to disagree with that. When it is really warm there is no escape. Put a fan on, it blows warm air at you. Open a window - no breeze. Go outside - you get baked in the sun.
When its cold, you can wrap yourself in warm clothes and in something like a slanket, drink warm drinks and you're fine. |
