If you watched the LF you know they already discussed Charlie's troubled past (the personal details birdsonged out) and Gina listened to her, was perfectly sensitive towards her, and during their chat Charlie was grateful for Gina's thoughts.

The bit about her being 27 came afterwards.

BB edits are designed to make you think this way. The hms (Hazel aside) don't think of Gina negatively, which is your clue, should you wish to consider it, as to how things are genuinely going in there.

All the hms share Gina's exasperation towards Charlie so if you dislike Gina for how you are thinking she has behaved you must dislike all of them.
