The Celebrity Big Brother 2013 housemates have been given their first weekly shopping task.



For the next few days, celebrity housemates will be faced with the challenge of time. There will be ticks, tocks and cuckoo clocks…

The group will be facing a series of mini-tasks which they will have to pass in order to accumulate time.

Some tasks will reward the groups with minutes while others just seconds.

Housemates will need to collect as much time as possible for the week’s end task where their luxury shopping budget will be at stake.

In addition, Louie Spence has become the house cuckoo clock and must be accompanied by two other housemates at all times.

The trio will have to conduct a ceremony when Big Brother sounds the clock.

Any breaking of the rules will see the group given a reduction in any time they have amassed.

The task will air in tomorrow night’s highlights show on Channel 5.

Speaking of Shopping, is anyone actually cooking in there, I'm sure in last night H/L there was a load of pizza takeaway boxes on the kitchen counter, and so far no sign of anyone actually doing anything other than making cereal. I suppose there isn't a natural "mother" /father type in there, unless Danielle wants to step up given her Diary Room meltdown.

Shopping task update
So far today the housemates have also been faced with two Hourglass Challenges. And guess what? They failed them both. Uh oh!

For the first one – Long Time No See – our celebs had to order themselves in height order before the sand timer ran out. Sounds easy, doesn’t it? But once Big Brother made them all put on a blindfold things became a little more confusing. Not to mention a little touchy feely!

The second challenge was a chance to put the egos in the House to test, as they were made to order themselves in order of ‘hotness’, as voted for by you. They eventually agreed that Courtney was the most attractive, unlike the public, who opted for Charlotte instead.

So that’s two tasks down, and two tasks failed. There’s more yet to come, but time is running out for our penniless housemates

Big Brother gave housemates an experience they'll be dining out on for the foreseeable future.

As part of this week's Shopping Task, it was feeding time in the Big Brother garden as housemates got stuck into a snack relay.

With some celebrities being more game than others, there was plenty of grimacing and gagging as the majority endeavoured to chow down on treats including a fermented egg, chicken's feet and dog food canapés.

Housemates completed the challenge within the allotted time but were penalised for those who failed to gobble up Big Brother's dishes.

Vicky failed to even attempt to eat her fermented egg but housemates have agreed they wouldn't have had a go on it either with Louie saying it was, "all black and green". Danielle's refusal to even sip her mustard shots has caused more debate with both Ron and Vicky adamant they'd have tried them.

Louie, who chomped on the chicken's feet didn't think Mario had much of a challenge with his pig's tongue but the reality TV Romeo claimed it was, "really gungey."

There's still plenty of time for this task to cause some serious tension! Stay tuned.
