I talk in my sleep, and I make absolute sense a lot of the time and I have been told people thought I was awake, as I actually answer questions that they ask and stuff

I agree with your point about Carol. The most significant point is that she had not been asleep long enough to start 'sleep talking' There is an actual order of depth of sleep.

She had just gone to bed and started talking. Her aim was to get Vicky out on Wednesday.
