She never came across as dangerous! She was my closest friend, but had gone through a lot of family crap in the year leading up to this, so maybe it did send her a bit loopy?

You would be sent to Broadmoor for trying to drug people without their knowledge. God knows who else shes tried this on. Perhaps even with different kinds of drugs. Pissed off with her husband one night and slips a little cyanide into his tea.
