Thats not really the full story though, in reply to "did you have alcohol" he basically said "they had brandy but I didn't." I would have been pissed and called him out on it too because all he wanted to do was make himself look like a hero among twats when thats not what happened

He said "we had brandy", as in we, the group, were given brandy but I didn't have any brandy... then Linda said she'd had some and then retrospectively decided that Jim must have been making a dig at her. Probably not helped by the fact they were, you know, drunk from drinking alcohol.

He said 'we had brandy' then he proceeded to say 'we didn't drink them' those were his exact words, clearly he assumed Linda drank it and capitalised on the opportunity but Linda saw straight through him because he didn't mention the fact that he had the wine

that's my response to Shaun's post too. Also she didn't 'scream bloody murder', just defend herself reasonably like anyone would if they were used as a scapegoat. Jim's the one started swearing

EXACTLY ,he was trying to make Linda look a twat, but he failed SHE made HIM look one !!
