4 is a bit tacky, 5 is jeremy kyle worthy.

there must be a few teen pregnancies if you get to 5...

Your maths is a bit off as you're assuming that the youngest member is at least 18...

For example, there could be a newborn baby, parent aged 26, grandparent aged 52, great grandparent aged 78... 4 generations with a perfectly reasonable gap of 26 years between generations. You could even feasibly squeeze in a fifth generation aged 98... As women being married with children aged around 20 was quite normal 75+ years ago.

As for myself, a measly 3... My parents, myself and my sister, and my two girls. Two of my grandparents were dead before I was born, another when I was 5 and the final one at just 8! So for more than 15 years until I had my first, there were just TWO .

I'm pretty proud of my 4 generations....

The oldest is 96, youngest nearly 2. My parents were in their 20s when they had me and my brother and we were both in our 30s when we had kids....no tackiness involved
