It's all about where you come from and how people around you or at your school etc speak. Has nothing to do with race. A white person can speak like that just as much as a black person can.

The closest market town to where I live, a sleepy little place in Norfolk, has hardly any black people living there. However, if you're around when the school kicks out you'd swear you were in London because all the kids try for the "speak", although probably none of them even know a black person.

Yeah, there are some who probably watch TV/Films and try emulate it etc. On the whole though, or at least for me growing up anyway it's just as normal for a white person to speak like that due to their surroundings and upbringing I suppose.

Same way you sometimes see a Black person talking like a "pub lad" or even "Posh" sometimes.

Coming from London I really do find it amusing. Especially so as since I've lived in the country I've heard more racist bullsh1t that I ever hard in London and it must drive some of their racist parents mental. Although it amused me also in London when you'd hear a black teenager speak in the "MTV stylie", and his parents were both quite Cockney.

That's exactly how accents and languages developed in the first place...
