She's never been shy about holding back her opinions.
And with a new album to promote, Lily Allen has once again become very vocal about the music industry, particularly the way it treat its female stars.

Sheezus Allen! Lily based her album name on Kanye West’s Yeezus and now she’s wearing the leather joggers he 'invented'

She’s a celebrated popstar in her own right, but since Lily Allen’s return there seems to be recording artist’s style she’s taken a fancy to.
So after naming her album Sheezus - a play on Kanye West’s record Yeezus - Allen is now rocking a pair of leather joggers the rapper famously claims to have invented.

British singer Lily Allen thinks it's ridiculous to believe there is just one pop queen.

The 28-year-old singer is gearing up for the release of her fifth studio album Sheezus.

In the title track, Allen names peers like Lady Gaga and Lorde directly, but she isn't interested in personally attacking anyone.

"It's kind of ridiculous because I name-check Beyonce, Katy Perry, Rihanna and Lorde, and I don't think that I could even possibly take one tiny diamond off of any of their crowns," she told MTV News.

Allen went on the explain the idea behind the tune Sheezus.

"The first verse is about me re-entering the music scene, and how kind of scary that is," she said.

"And the choruses talk about people who are in the scene, and (the idea) that women tend to be played against one another. The way I read it, there's a queen and everyone else is in her slipstream. So I guess what it's trying to say is that we can all be 'Sheezus'."

Allen has engaged in public feuds with the likes of Elton John and Perez Hilton in the past, but since becoming a wife and mother to two children, she admits being involved in conflict no longer appeals to her.

"I don't even know why I did it before," Allen said.

"That's one thing that has changed from having children; you realise that everybody is somebody else's child, and would you like someone to say that about your child?"

I had a convo with a friend about her smoking and she made me think lily smokes weed sometimes too tbh. In Our Time she says..

Lily Allen has announced that she will play a one-off London show to celebrate the launch of her new album Sheezus.

The Shepherd's Bush Empire concert on April 28 will be Allen's first headline show in four years.

The singer tweeted earlier today: "SO BLOODY EXCITED."

Sheezus will be released a week after the launch show on May 5, and includes recent Top 10 singles 'Hard Out Here' and 'Air Balloon'.

Her new single 'Our Time' - the third to be taken from the record - is available to download now.
