It would mean they could do fake evictions without the housemates entering the outside world (like Aisleyne in BB7) and it would block the sound of the crowd when someone is evicted, so people don't change their personalities just because their friend got 'booed' *cough* Jack & Joe, Dan and Hazel when Wolfy was booed *cough*
