That's what I loved about the whole gay scene - no one gives a flying f what you are, who you are or what you're wearing. From 'Clone Zone' Leather chaps with no undies - bare buttocks and all - to Marilyn Monroe's and Mae Wests' by the score, no one cares, it's just pure hedonism... with a lot of style.

Heaven is Heaven, but a lot of the Northern clubs were fantastic nights out; Rockshots in Leeds, Masquerade in Doncaster, and Hero's in Manchester, which is where we met Divine - a truly brilliant, larger than life act. Golden years.
