..I think that you're probably right, Vanessa..I think some have been 'sucked in' and maybe because of an attention from a group which might have made them feel good or maybe because they themselves feared being targeted if they said anything or showed any reluctance..?....some of it might have just been for the LOLs and the DRAMZ...and they might be 'good people' as well but they have done something or been part of something just in the 'knowing of it' that is terribly wrong and that has to have a serious consequence for them.... that consequence won't impact on their lives other to be excluded from an internet forum which they seem to enjoy being part of because they spend time here..so with people they enjoy talking to/like I presume..?..but those are the people they have been targeting/bullying/harassing..?.. those people they post with and spend time talking to..?...this is something that I've really struggled with as well because of how unhappy they might be or may have sad lives..?...but they know nothing about the lives of the people who they have been so vicious with in their attacks and the things they have said whose lives may be equally as unhappy...and it's because they don't care/or have no thought for them..?..and what impact on their 'victims'...?...to me these are the very same people we all discuss in SD threads when we talk about how nasty internet trolls are and sometimes the extreme effect/impact on the people they troll and some very vulnerable.. and we condemn them and that doesn't change for me because I know someone/have posted/chatted with them etc...I can't be selective about that...
..also it's less for me personally what the 'content' was although that is in itself was upsetting and awful enough for the people targeted..it's that they have 'assumed identities'/taken personal profile pics and posted and abused/insulted as if that person..so they'll do it/have no issues with what they do.. but will 'hide' from any repercussions..hide who they are...?...is this not how 'brave' bullies work, ..they assume fake email addresses as other members and use them to abuse members for whatever their reasons as well ..they post private and personal information ..which include addresses, full names, email addresses, other family member names etc...things they weren't given access to but things they purposefully sought out themselves with much determination to specifically attack and hurt and to be malicious..and these aren't things that would just have an impact on internet forum time for that person, because these things were designed to impact their real lives as well..and the consequences of this 'hate' would have far more reaching effects on their lives than just not being able to post on a forum.... and why..?..because they wanted others to be as unhappy as them/I really can't fathom this or any 'reasoning' to it because there just is none...
..anyway, I think TiBB staff have been great with all of this and how they've generally handled it ..it's been so extreme that it kind of comes under the ..'I didn't sign up for this type of rubbish' thing...and I can't fault them at all because they've done everything that is in 'their power ' to do and I'm guessing that any sites now will find it easy to trace IP addresses with any abuse of TiBB members...personally I will take legal action if anything is ever taken and used for internet trolling in my name again..I can only say that for myself of course but it's something that I will also strongly advice to anyone else who these things happen to because this is neither acceptable, excusable or in any way legal and is totally abhorrent....
