I love Art and Media Studies because they are the only things im good at.
On the other hand I couldnt hate Geography and English any more than I do.

Well you made some mistakes here!!!

The plural of the verb "to be" is "are" not "is".

So

"but there are some mistakes" is correct.

I have a big problem with "there is/are" followed by "some" !
ex: there is a lot ot there are a lot ? sometimes it makes me mad, I think it's the only big thing I can't resolve ! But normally it's alright !

Back to the thread now, I don't want a mod to punish me !

Normally you'll just see "there's" in dialogue: it's more of an oral thing. The written rule normally follows the "are" for plural and "is" for singular rule. It's always better to follow this rule even when talking, because there are only a few minor exceptions.
