Surely "Brash and Loutish behaviour" if anti-social is acceptable to criticise?

It depends how you look at it and who you point that "chav" label at because I can assure you, its pointed at a lot more people than those who are brash or loutish.

The stereotyping of working class Britain has become a new class hatred...from salt of the earth to scum of the earth thanks to constant media put downs and programmes like Little Britain.

You are right, it does all depend on how you look at it.

I find that the only ones who hate the word 'chav' are usually the ones described as that by their peers lol

I find the sort of people who use the word "Chav" are the types that aspire to be "upper middle class" but are usually in debt and struggling to keep up appearances. Its the same type who live in primarily white suburbia; think curb appeal is important and believe immigration is Britain's biggest problem.

I think you'll find that it is the posh, rich people in this country who get berated, not the low life scum who take, take, take and give nothing back!

Really? I live a very comfortable lifestyle and I consider myself fortunate but I've never been made to feel guilty about my creature comforts...have you?
