My issue isn't even simply that she's friends with Hopkins. Alicia liked her by the end, that didn't taint my opinion of her. Michelle, and not her friendships, is to blame for her own behaviour that contradicts how she claimed she would be before entering the house.
Alicia developed a friendship with Hopkins and still vocally challenged her whenever she said something she disagreed with. Michelle says nothing and puts it down to the fact that "you're never going to change her". It's not about changing her, it's about standing by your own principles. Or alleged principles, which I say because Michelle herself dabbled in not-very-nice behaviour herself, especially where Alicia was concerned.
I haven't seen the "I'll say it to your face / I defend the underdogs" Michelle in there, and that's why I've gone off her. I don't think she's a bad person or a bully, but she's underwhelmed me (and evidently some others). We're entitled to feel that way, regardless of your militant opposition to anything slightly anti-Michelle.
