I cannot explain really, if it did not happen to me then I would agree with everything you say, you have to go through being ostracised in order to understand how socially impactful it is, most people just say, why do you care so much but it is human nature.
He is annoying, he is loud, he has got aspersers (probably) but no-one in life deserves to feel so bad that they compare it to their fathers death. I really believe that he was being honest as I said when people "exclude" you intentionally, and ignore you, it is like you are dead but still alive.
