I think it's worrying to narrow what is "normal" in human behaviour and responses and treat too much outside of that as a "disorder".
Where things affect ones ability to cope or deal with life effectively, then indeed diagnoses can be more than just useful.
It is also argued that we need humans with a different mix or degree of different traits and as long as they aren't dysfunctional then we shouldn't be too concerned about saying something is "wrong".
In certain circumstances it could be seen as highly desirable to have a less empathetic or more sociopathic leaning for survival.
